Waterford Bridge Road closure to affect school access in November

Storm-sewer maintenance will close part of Waterford Bridge Road to through traffic during weekday working hours, according to the City of St. John’s. The affected stretch is between Road De Luxe and Water Street, with work scheduled to start November 2.
The City lists closure hours of 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday, and estimates the work will take about two weeks. Through traffic will be directed to Topsail Road; emergency vehicles and local traffic will retain access.
During those daytime closures, families and buses serving St. Mary’s Elementary are to approach the school from the Road De Luxe side. The City says flag people will direct traffic and pedestrian access will remain available.
