Residents can comment on Municipal Plan and Development Regulations amendments associated with the University Area Neighbourhood Plan. St. John’s says council adopted the amendments on October 20 and intends to seek provincial registration.
The notice sets a written-comment deadline of 9:30 a.m. on November 16. A public hearing is scheduled for 7 p.m. on November 18 in the Foran/Greene Room on the fourth floor of City Hall. An online attendance option is available through advance registration on the project page.
The City says the hearing may be cancelled if it receives no written objections. The amendments concern land designations, zoning and planning text within the neighbourhood; this notice does not establish that provincial registration has been completed.
